The Events Project Lead will play a pivotal role in delivering event experiences that connect audiences to business objectives. This leadership role combines end-to-end project ownership, customer relationship management, team mentoring, and commercial accountability. You'll work closely with customers, suppliers, sales teams, and event specialists to deliver innovative, high-impact events while driving profitability and operational excellence. 

This role can be based in our Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane office.

 

What you will be doing: 

  • Lead and manage multiple live and virtual event projects from conception through to completion
  • Partner with customers, sales teams, and event stakeholders to develop creative and logistically sound event solutions
  • Manage project budgets, reconciliations, invoicing, pricing strategies, and profitability outcomes
  • Develop, write, present, and lead customer proposals, pitches, and event solutions
  • Oversee project timelines, critical paths, risk management plans, and service level commitments
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand business objectives and deliver strategic event outcomes
  • Lead onsite event teams and ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements
  • Support resource planning, workflow management, recruitment activities, and team capability development
  • Mentor, coach, and train team members across systems, processes, platforms, and project delivery best practice

 

You'll be perfect for the role if you have: 

  • Minimum 6 years' project management experience within the event management and production industry
  • Strong knowledge of project management processes, standards, and procedure
  • Demonstrated customer service excellence and stakeholder management experience.
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of major suppliers, MICE products, and destinations
  • Proven leadership, coaching, mentoring, and team development capability
