Reporting to the Finance Director & Cruise Club UK operational leadership, this key role is primarily responsible for the financial well-being of Cruise Club UK, addressing financial control and risk mitigation as well as providing process improvements that work towards supporting the businesses goals.

You will have the opportunity to lead and develop a team that, whilst inspiring and being open to change and challenges. This is a full-time (5 days per week) role suited to someone looking for a challenge in an exciting business that is focused on scalable growth.

Key Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will be required to assist the Finance Director and business in the areas of:

  • Day-to-day finance, managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations, Cash Management including refunds/credits and forecasting, tax requirements (GST/FBT), month end accounting and reporting
  • Ensure company and statutory accounting standards and obligations are met
  • Timely reporting to Head Office for all month-end and reporting period requirements
  • Lead, Manage, & mentor the team including review of team structure, roles and responsibilities
  • Productivity improvements within the team

About you

You are an energetic customer centric finance professional with a passion for leading a shared services function and optimising processes.  You will have a strong finance background and be able to liaise with all levels of management. You’re someone who is genuinely passionate about interpreting high volumes of data to providing options to improve processes, you are a team leader, proactive and manage deadlines as well as being able to think outside of the box to solve complex problems

University level post-graduate qualification and 5+ years in finance

  • Highly motivated, self-starter with ability to manage to strict deadlines and effectively respond to changing priorities
  • Ability to work under pressure and balance with a healthy work life balance
  • Ability to drill down and understand underlying facts
  • Ability to work in different time zones and in a virtual team environment
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo and the confidence to utilise own experience and initiative to drive change
  • Ability to critically appraise information and form own conclusions
  • Proactive with ability to identify and resolve issues and present recommendations to senior management
