Role Summary:

The HR Operations Lead Asia (HRO Lead) is responsible for overseeing and optimizing human resources operations on a regional scale within Asia. Working closely with the HR Business Partners and local management teams, the HRO will lead a team of HR executives across the region to manage Level 1 and Level 2 processes within HR Operating Model. They will ensure compliance with local and international labor laws and drive efficiency and standardization to support business objectives, enhancing the employee experience and streamlining & reinforcing policies.

Day in the life:

Contribute to the business success through delivery of standardized HR Operations

  • Oversee the day-to-day execution of HR services – including administration for benefits and payroll (existing only), employee onboarding/offboarding, employee engagement and HRIS implementation and management.
  • Lead and manage Level 1 and Level 2 HR activities across multiple countries in Asia, ensuring alignment with regional and global HR strategies
  • Implement standardized HR processes, HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency across markets and brands
  • Develop strong working multi level relationships with regional leaders, HR Business Partners, Iocal management team and their teams to understand their business and work pro-actively with them to align people initiatives to business priorities.
  • Champion a positive employee experience by ensuring HR processes are user-friendly, efficient, and aligned with company culture.
  • Address employee concerns and feedback related to HR operations, working to continuously improve the employee experience.
  • Guide and resolve complex HR issues throughout the employee life cycle to minimize risk and financial & legal exposure
  • Maintains compliance with local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within HR operations to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement HR technology solutions.

HRIS Implementation & Management

  • Working with Global P&C & Regional P&C teams to review, implement and manage the introduction of a new HRIS.
  • Working with HR Director on HRIS system implementation, including continued testing and configuration, security administration, report writing, system optimization post go-live, and coordination and management of cross-functional dependencies between People & Culture, ETS and Finance
  • Documentation of new processes and provide process maps for further analysis
  • Assist users in utilizing the HRIS system, providing guidance on process and data entry
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the HRIS system.
  •  Maintain a secure and confidential HRIS environment
  • Leading the continuous evaluation and evolution of HR Systems that include payroll systems, etc.
  • Communicating with project teams, clients, and vendors.
  • Seek employee feedback at all levels to understand our employee experience and drive improvements against delivery of our employee value proposition.

Reporting

  • Oversee the HRIS system and ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Develop and track key HR metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR operations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present reports on HR operational performance to senior management.

Team Leadership

  • As an advocate of the FCTG Culture, take ownership to ensure company values, philosophies and rituals are solidly embedded and shared across all functions and locations
  • Recruit, lead and mentor a team of HR professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment across regional and global HR teams.
  • Ensure the right environment to support and grow employee sense of belonging and attachment to the company
  • Act as a change agent within the P&C team with ability to spot parts of the business that need to be changed and initiate that change with consultation & collaboration
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

You'll be perfect for the role if you have:

  • Relevant degree with at least 8+ years’ experience in full spectrum of HR Operations (payroll, benefits, HRIS, and compliance) and 5+ years of people management experience
  • Experience in managing a multicultural and virtual HR Operations Team across countries is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, matrix global environment with a solutions mindset
  • Customer centric approach to service excellence and leadership
  • Demonstrated track record with leading organization wide culture change and strong sense of ownership
  • Strong analytical, attention to detail, project management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail and process-oriented leader, able to partner with non-technical customers and partners to understand user needs and translate this to technical requirements
  • Ability to build and maintain constant rapport and trustworthy relationship with the business at a strategic level and be hands-on in rollout of HR activities
  • Proficiency in HR technology and software, with experience in process automation. Previous experience with Workday is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Flexibility to work across different time zones and travel as required
