Are you a detail-oriented financial professional seeking a dynamic role in a global organization?  
 
We're looking for an Assistant Account to join our Global Treasury Department. Reporting to the Treasury Financial Control and Reporting Team Leader, this role will assist with monthly account preparation, budgeting and forecasting, providing data insights and maintaining financial control. 
 
 
 
What you'll be doing: 
 
Accounting & Analysis - 70% 
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts for Treasury, Group cash balances and associated analysis for the Group 
  • Prepare Moneywise and P4 Finance monthly management accounts and associated processes and reporting, including reporting and commercial analysis 
  • Complete reconciliations of bank accounts, including foreign currency accounts, with high volumes of transactions 
  • Complete all Treasury reconciliation and financial control processes 
  • Maintain and reconcile intercompany loans and assist GFR with preparation of intercompany accounting 
  • Prepare Treasury internal charging process and methodology 
  • Assist with analysis and reporting on key Treasury metrics to senior management and Board 
  • Assist with the annual cash budgets and maintaining rolling 18 month forecast and variance analysis of actuals to budget 
  • Assist with the preparation of Treasury related information for half year and annual statutory reporting 
  • Use the Treasury Management System (TMS) to prepare month end accounting and ad hoc reporting as required 
  • Primary back up for the Treasury Accountant 
  
Risk Controls and Compliance - 15% 
  • Understand best practice Treasury control environment and actively recommend control improvement opportunities 
  • Run audit reports and manage controls over data changes in Treasury systems 
  • Maintain strict control environment with appropriate segregation of duties 
  • Ensure process and procedures minimise risk of loss to FCTG and identify areas of risk to be mitigated 
  • Ensure compliance with Global Treasury Policy 
  
Innovation & Process Improvement - 10% 
  • Create solutions to new reporting and compliance challenges 
  • Identify, recommend, and implement ongoing system and process improvements, efficiencies, and best practice operations 
  • Actively challenge accepted operational wisdom across FCTG businesses. 
  
Team Support & Development - 5% 
  • Provide support to other team members as required 
  • Support and foster team environment and culture 
  • Focus on own and other team members’ ongoing development and learning 
  • Exceed behavioural expectations of the team  
  • Support FCTG philosophies 
 
 
 
 
Who you are: 
    • 1-2 years experience in a finance role 
    • Bachelor or tertiary certificate in Accounting or Finance 
    • CA/CPA qualified (or studying towards) 
    • Microsoft Excel Skills 
    • Power BI Skilles (Desirable) 
    • Financial Control Mindset 
    • Interpersonal and communication skills with ability to develop relationships at all levels 
    • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving
